Enviromental Design
The Industrial
The Industrial Event Space is located next to The Strip in Las Vegas. They have everything you need to host your next event under one roof from food to production. They pride themselves on style, creativity, and white-glove service they provide to their clients.
The Backstory
I worked last year closely with owner, Josh Abelson, to create their pitch deck. So when they were looking to update the billboard in the backyard of their event space we already had experience working together.
I hadn't designed a billboard for a client before but I jumped at the chance.
Josh sent over the specs, I did some research, and chatted with their printer about any questions I had.
It turns out a good billboard design isn't much different than what makes a good online ad, but it's on a much bigger scale.
The Challenge
The main challenge with this project was not to over design it.
The design needed to be simple, clear, and concise. It needed to communicate quickly while people are driving.

Behind the Billboard Design
We picked the fonts based on their already established branding from the pitch deck. Josh and I worked together to find photography front their event that was high enough resolution to be printed billboard size. We opted for icons and text to communicate what made them different front their competition. And we went for high contrast with the main colors being black and white. Their billboard is lit up at night and the white and the lights to the left will pop at night.
