Success looks shiny on the surface, don't you think? Social media shows us the 3% of life that’s picture-perfect and postable.

What don’t we see? The messy middle.

I feel it too. I got stuck writing this newsletter.

Then I went for a walk, listened to a podcast, and gave myself one hour to work on it and see what would happen.

That’s when things loosened up.

If you’re feeling stuck, too, below are 5 things you can do today to loosen things up and grow your business.
Pick a Social Media Platform

Pick a Platform

Choose one social media platform and commit to one post this week that answers a real customer question (grab one from your FAQs). Then pair it with a real photo from a project or client interaction. It doesn't have to be polished. Consistency beats perfection every time.

Clarify your CTA

Make it clear what your website visitors should do next.  Should they—schedule a call, request a quote, donate, join your email list? Make it crystal clear the next step they should take.

To build your email list, start with who you know

Build Your Email List

You don't need a list of 1,000 to get started with email marketing. Start with who you know. Friends, family, current and past customers, former co-workers, bosses. You never know who might need your product or service next. Add 5-10 existing contacts to your list (with permission)

Canva Brand Kits

Define your brand colors, fonts, and writing tone in Canva to make creating content a breeze and consistent branding a no-brainer.

Define Your Buyer Persona

Spend an hour putting down on paper who your audience is and who you serve. Give them a name. Write down their hobbies. This will help you know who you're marketing too. Download this workbook and fill it out to get started.

The Quick Take

If you’re feeling stuck with your marketing, take a moment to pause and think.

Then, take action. Even a micro-step, right or wrong, you’ll learn from. It all adds up to success in the end.
