Feeling overwhelmed by work and neglecting your marketing? You may have fallen into the “Bisy Backson” trap. Believe me I've been there too.

If you haven't seen the 2011 movie Winnie-the-Pooh, let me explain.

Pooh is looking for his friend Christopher Robin when he spots a note that reads, “Gon out, Bisy Backson, C.R.” Confused he asks Owl for advice.

Owl misinterprets the note and declares, “His dear friend Christopher Robin has been captured by a creature called the Backson, but “worst of all, the Backson is very busy.”

Being busy is great—it usually means your business is thriving.

But neglecting your marketing (or stopping completely) during these times can lead to a loss of momentum and visibility. Your customers start wondering where you've gone, or worse, forget about you when they need you.

Don’t disappear from your customer's view. Keep marketing so when they need you, they come calling.
